SCORIGAMI: Atlanta Dream 101, New York Liberty 98 is the first 101-98 game in WNBA history
For the first time ever, WNBA produced a 101-98 final. Atlanta Dream beat New York Liberty on October 7, 2026, filling a cell that had stayed empty across 7,010 games.
The league's previous scorigami was 105-84, Los Angeles Sparks over Portland Fire on September 20, 2026, 17 days earlier. This is WNBA's 49th new final score of the 2026 season.
Its closest neighbors show how tight the score space had become: 102-98 had still never happened and 101-99 had happened 4 times. It sits in the busy heart of the grid, proof that even an ordinary-looking score can go a league's whole history without happening.
